It also has some outstanding highlights, such as the self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water and a side-reaching brush that can reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also set up cleaning schedules within the app and adjust settings for every room in your home.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping, and can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood rugs with high-pile. And, if you're looking to save time, it can even skip mopping in rooms that aren't soiled. If you have a wide range of flooring in your house and don't wish to spend extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features it is an excellent option.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this little robot is a great choice. It offers a broad range of features, including self-emptying dustbins as well as an additional water refill dock, as well as adjustable settings within the app. It's extremely quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It's smaller than the majority of its competitors, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a good amount of suction power, and it's possible to take a photo of each object it finds (i.e. chew toys or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they don't get taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secured and are not tied to your account.
It does a great job of vaccuming, but it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wipes that are clipped to the bot's bottom and drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
